My mural proposal, featuring a white stork on the left wall and a black stork on the right, embodies the theme, “Diversity and Cultural Wealth.” These storks, while different in color, symbolize how diverse cultures can coexist and thrive together. The vibrant orange-red beaks and legs provide a striking contrast, highlighting the unique qualities and contributions of each culture.

Interestingly, although the storks’ different colors are meant to represent human diversity, they are different species, however, there have been recorded instances where a white and a black stork formed a family and raised their own chicks. This fascinating fact underscores the idea that diversity and unity can coexist in nature as well as in human societies.

The black and white splashes in the background, my signature abstract elements, form a subtle yin-yang symbol. This represents the harmony and balance that diversity brings to society. It illustrates how different cultural elements can blend to create a richer, more inclusive community.
